To build a long lasting relationship...

9.13.2011
"Love brings along many expectations that need to be met. Every partner expects something from the other. But the expectations must be realistic and achievable. If both partners understand that that neither of them is perfect and accept each other “Warts and All” It will help them enjoy an equitably and contented life together."

The foundation stone.

Relationships are like plants. They need to be nurtured with love, care and understanding. You need to work at it on a regular basis and learn the skills needed to make it grow. Those who take relationships for granted and do not take the time to do the maintenance will find a once beautiful relationship will wilt and die.
Good communication is the foundation stone of any healthy relationship but there must also be lashings of mutual respect and commitment to each other.

Trust each other
You must learn to share your thoughts and feelings with your partner, even if they are unpleasant. Very often the fear of offending your partner makes you keep quiet, and you choose to suffer in silence. Not only doing an injustice to you but also sowing the seeds of unhappiness and mistrust.
You must trust each other. Suspicion breeds hate, jealousy and sorrow. Often, these feelings get out of control, and destroy relationships. The best way to keep the flame of trust shining bright is to confide in your partner. It removes mistrust, and does not allow misunderstandings to grow.
It pays to be honest with each other. Don’t hesitate to brush unpleasant issues under the carpet. If you have done a wrong, let your partner know. You will both feel stronger to face the next challenge.

Balanced relationship
Being a part of the ‘couple’ should not affect the sense of self.
Establishing boundaries where needed helps to maintain a balanced relationship and allows each to become fulfilled. Keep your own hobbies and pastimes but remember to share an interest in what your partner does as well. You are two separate entities with often-differing likes, dislikes, traits and interest. Respecting and allowing for these differences is essential for reducing conflict.

“Warts and All”
Love brings along many expectations that need to be met. Every partner expects something from the other. But the expectations must be realistic and achievable. If both partners understand that that neither of them is perfect and accept each other “Warts and All” It will help them enjoy an equitably and contented life together.

There are three stages in every relationship.

The first is attraction.
When you are first attracted to a person, you wish to know more about them, there likes, dislikes, interests etc. Then you gather courage to make your first move like asking to come for a movie, dance or dinner. Both partners often feeling embarrassed and awkward but probably mostly feeling over come with wonderful feelings about your new-found love.

The second is the testing stage.
This is the stage when the relationship starts blooming. You are both learning more about each other. If you hide your emotions or are deceitful in any way at this stage, then you can be sure that you are building weak foundations. The relationship any well seem to flourish for a while but that weakness will undermine all the good work you do and it will fail. Honesty dealt with in a tender manner will be a strong bond that will help to hold you together.

The third is the conflict stage.
As the relationship progresses and you have been together some time there will be conflicts and disagreements. Those who are able to handle these conflicts with trust and equanimity will be able to keep the relationship going where others would simply flounder. So, learn to handle conflicts and learn form all the ups and downs.

A fine achievement
Because you have been together for a long time you may well feel your partner takes you for granted or that you are in a rut. The positive side of that coin is you are in a comfortable relationship were you have mutual respect for each other. It may not have the zest and excitement of a new relationship but you have learned to live in contentment with another. This really is a fine achievement worthy of praise. It has the reward of a long lasting loving relationship that can only be coveted by many.
Allow your partner just to be human not some super-person who you expect must always get it right. If you allow them that courtesy they might then do the same for you!

What Girls wants in a relationship...

4.01.2011
1. Talk. Communication is key. If you are afraid to talk to the girl that you're dating, or if you'd rather do something else, you need to set some priorities. Ask her how her day was. You want her to listen to you, so you should listen to her--conversation is a two way street. # People love talking about themselves. Ask her about her dreams and hopes. It will make her feel like you care about her. Always ask her about school and her day as well.

2. Try to avoid asking lots of questions about where she's been and what she was doing. If they say "Be right back, I gotta go do something", it's usually best not to ask what she were doing, as it can make a girl feel annoyed.

3. Think before you speak! Try to keep things very very positive. If she's complaining about life, don't agree. Tell her she rocks and support her.

4. Compliments are excellent, but know that you should stop at the point where you're just listening to yourself talk. Girls know when you're sincere and when you're just blowing hot air. But, compliments never hurt anyone.

5. Nobody can write the definitive guide on dating! You need to experiment for yourself! Remember, romance is not always an easy thing.

6. Listen to what she has to say and pay attention.

7. Above all, take care of yourself. Keep your daily and lifelong goals in sight. Nothing turns off a woman faster than a man who chooses to accomplish nothing, even if all his attention is directed toward her.

8. Don't be obsessive. Give her some room. she doesnt need you to be hanging on her, she wants to be able to lean on you, not the other way around.

9. Don't cheat on her!! If you flirt with another girl, to make her 'jealous' then its not going to work, she'll think that you like them and might end up moving on. Not all girls get jealous the same way.

10. Make her friends like you, not love you. If they love you, she will think otherwise or something... Don't fall in love with her friends either! [wikihow, 2011]

10 Romantic Relationship tips that work...

12.26.2010
Tip #1: DECIDE to become more romantic and you WILL become more romantic. It’s as simple as that. Start now. Your lover will be thrilled.

Tip #2: Love yourself first. If you don’t love yourself then you really and truly are not ready to give your love to another. Take care of yourself, mentally and physically. Take charge of who you are and assume responsibility for cultivating your strengths and getting clear about what is important to you.

Tip #3:Be true to yourself. Listen to your heart. Go with your gut. Be your best self as often as you can manage.

Tip #4:Listen with an open heart. When your lover speaks to you, always try to be open to what they have to offer. Let them say all that they have to say without interrupting them.

Relationship Tip #5:Ask for what you want. Once you figure out what your priorities are and what it is that you want out of life and from your mate, don’t be afraid to ask for it. It is unlikely that your partner is a mind reader. They will probably be delighted to hear what it is that they can do for you.

Tip #6:Stay curious. There is always more to learn about your love. As your relationship deepens, new layers of personality will be revealed for you to explore. Never assume that you know everything there is to know about your mate. People continue to grow and develop as they go through different stages in their lives. As you change and expand, the dynamics of your relationship can shift. Stay on your toes! Riding the waves of change with your beloved can enrich your relationship, deepen your love and keep things interesting.

Tip #7:Be proactive in your romance. Take the reigns and be a moving force in creating the kind of romantic relationship that you want. There is no need to “settle for less” when you are committed to “writing” your own storybook romance. The more you participate, the more rewarding your romantic journey will be! Let this power be a source of inspiration for you!

Relationship Tip #8:
Get THE ROMANCE HABIT: It is said that to make a new habit, you must repeat the action for twenty-one days in a row before it will really stick. Three weeks isn’t very long to practice something that is rewarding in of itself and makes our partner glow with adoration! Your new romance skills will also serve you and your beloved for years to come. Practice DOES makes perfect when it comes to coming up with unique romantic ideas . The more romantic you act, the more romantic you become. And once you have the Romance Habit, you will probably never lose it. The rewards are simply too great.

Tip #9:Be kind to your beloved. Always remember that you two are on the same team! Give them the benefit of the doubt, even when others tell you not to. It is likely that you know your beloved better than anyone else does. Expect the best and that is what you are likely to get.

Relationship Tip #10:Be a hopeless romantic. When you shower your mate with words of love and romantic moments, you greatly increase the odds that they will reciprocate with romantic ideas of their own. Your partner is much more likely to “romance” a sweet and loving partner than a curmudgeon pouting about the lack of romance in the relationship. [romantic-idea-online,2010]

10 Common Reasons causing break-up relationship

12.20.2010
Conflict and stress are part of most love relationships. These reasons couples break up and relationships fail can help you heal and learn to love again.
Working towards a healthy love relationship is one of the most rewarding and challenging things you’ll ever do! These ten reasons couples break up and relationships fail describe the most common problems couples face.

These tips will help couples build long-term love, and help broken hearts heal after a relationship breakup.

Why Do Couples Break Up?

1. Failing to keep promises, lying, or cheating. These blatant violations of trust often result in failed relationships. If the basic trust in a love relationship is repeatedly broken, the problems accumulate and the motivation to stay together decreases. Partners in healthy relationships agree to reconcile their differences – and if they keep their promises, the relationship can stay strong. However, consistent lying, cheating, or breaking of promises can explain why relationships end.

2. Imbalance of power. A common reason couples break up is when one partner has more decision-making power than the other. When one person usually makes the decisions about activities, friends, financial matters, household matters, holidays, and so on, the relationship can become unstable. If a sense of equality doesn’t exist, a failed relationship could be the result.

3. Acceptance of stereotypes. Mistaken gender myths include beliefs such as “Men like sex more than women” or “Women are passive” or “Men make more money than women.” If one partner believes these stereotypes, false expectations are created – resulting in higher chances of a failed relationship. An equal balance of power can save your marriage.

4. Isolation. A common reason couples break up is isolation from friends and family when the couple first gets together. Intimate love relationships based on fear and insecurity (which is why couples isolate themselves) aren’t stable, and exacerbate other problems – which can lead to a relationship breakup.

5. Lack of self-knowledge. If one or both partners aren’t in tune with their interests, needs, desires, future plans, goals, values, sexual attitudes, and preferences – then it’s difficult for them to engage in a healthy relationship. Self-knowledge helps partners communicate who they are and what they want – which can prevent the breakup of a romantic relationship. This can be a reason why couples break up, especially if they got together when they were young.

6. Low self-esteem, insecurity, and lack of self-confidence. A common reason couples break up is because one partner feels unworthy of being loved. This insecurity can lead to possessiveness and overdependence, which isn’t healthy for a love relationship. Building self-esteem and self-confidence is one way to avoid relationship failure (but each partner must do this for him or herself).

7. Excessive jealousy. “Jealousy is cited as one of the most frequent causes of the breakup of romantic relationships,” writers Roger Hock in Human Sexuality. Delusional jealousy can trigger abuse and violence, which can (and should) be why relationships end. Delusional jealousy isn’t a common problem couples face – but normal jealousy can be.

8. Ineffective communication. If both partners can’t share their thoughts, feelings, opinions, values, needs, frustrations, or even their joys, a failed relationship could result. If this was the cause of a breakup, then learning to love again could involve learning how to communicate effectively. This is a common reason for breaking up.

9. Control issues. If one partner is trying to control or manipulate the other, the love relationship can become weak – or even dangerous. This reason why relationships end may be seen in different ways, such as checking up on the partner, name-calling, threatening the partner, requiring the partner check in all the time, or not allowing any deviations from the partner’s schedule. This isn’t loving behavior, and it results in failed relationships.

10. Abuse. This is the most obvious, surefire way to reason why couples break up. Different types of abuse are attempts to gain total control over a partner. Though relationships like this should end immediately, many partners stay for various complicated reasons. Learning to love and trust again can be difficult if this is the reason the relationship ended.

Conflict and stress are part of most marriages and love relationships – but being aware of the common reasons couples break up can help them work towards a healthy love relationship. [suite101.com,2010]

LOVE...

9.20.2009
Most people didn’t realize how precious to be born as a human being and to be able to find someone who really matter to us.

Since it is known that, Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, Love the people who treat us right, forgive the ones who don’t and believe that everything always happens for reason.

If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Because we, people, would never know how strong we are…until being strong is the only choice we have.

Do you think you know clearly what LOVE is really are? Just answer this question with yourself…and see, how u might feel to urself with the own definition you have over LOVE!!!

Having no doubts; people always say that LOVE is blind, but why some people says LOVE is the priceless things on earth? Why some says LOVE is hell; while, others says LOVE is the meaning of life? Why there are so many definitions for LOVE, and why it is always show opposite meaning between people?

But, no matter how different LOVE can be defined – the only one thing that must be in common is “HONESTY”. Without Honesty, there is a less in percentages that love could be long lasting.

Tips: When Life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have millions reasons to smile… and you know why? Simple is this, because LIFE is too precious to worry about stupid stuff. So, say what you wanna say, and do what you wanna do. When you come to a decision, believe in yourself, regret nothing (if no impacts on others) and don’t let people who don’t matter, bring you down.

Please don’t let someone be a priority in your life; when you are just their options. The only people you need in your life, are the ones that need you in theirs…so, be careful..guys!

If you fail, and come to broken heart… please stand up and show the world you are strong enough to move on for where you are belongs (happiness). If someone crumbled your heart, let’s fixed it urself… “embrace those who love you & whom you love, and rid yourself of those who will only bring you down”. Life is more precious, not just waste it living with pain and tears due to broken heart.

Hence, I hope this could give you guys some ideas of what should be the core of true love!!!

Love isn't love unless it is expressed;
caring isn't caring unless the other person knows;
sharing isn't sharing unless the other person is included;
Loving, caring, and sharing can make for a very happy marriage.

And together – this is how marriage should be defined.

All the best wishes to y’all!!!
